How I got started

One night I went to an auction and saw a fly rod up for a bid. So I decided to throw a $40 winning bid that night. The kit came with a rod and several flies. I decided the next day I'd give it a try. A few days of practice on the water and god blessed me with my first fish. I became as hooked as the fish was. I got reeled into the sport that has now become my hobby, passion, and lifestyle . I enjoy Fly fishing more than anyone will ever know.

What the sport does for me

Fly fishing is a unique experience and takes my mind on a short vacation. I only focus on what's in front of me and around me. Not a worry in the world for this time being. The way matching a hatch and presenting it before a fish takes to it, is a very rewarding experience! I often dance and sing all day when I’m out on the water. This hobby takes over and is my ultimate happy place!
